On Tuesday, January 28th voters in Flagler, Putnam ,St. Johns and Volusia Counties went to the polls to pick winners in the Republican primary election for Senate District 6 and House Districts 17 and 24. The unofficial results have been posted and below are the results.

The winners each face opposition in the special election scheduled for April 7th. In Senate District 6, Travis Hutson will face Democrat David Cox. The senate seat was vacated last November when John Thrasher resigned to become president of FSU.
In House District 17, Cyndi Stevenson has two opponents- NPA Judy Stevens and write-in Mary Ann Boczek. The winner replaces Representative “Doc” Renuart. And in House District 24, Paul Renner is up against Democrat Adam Morley to take over Representative Travis Hutson’s seat.
