Congratulations to our very own Orlando Pride who last month won the National Women’s Soccer League Championship! The Pride bested Washington Spirit 1-0 at the CPKC Stadium in Kansas City on November 23rd.
The City of Orlando honored her champions with a parade on Orange Avenue on Monday, November 25th. Orlando Pride players were joined by Walt Disney World’s Main Street Philharmonic to celebrate their history-making win as the first professional sports team in Orlando to bring home a major league title.
Two Pride players, both forwards, have been named to the 2024 FIFPRO Women’s World 11. They are Barbra Banda, who hails from Zambia, and Marta, the team captain, from Brazil. The FIFPRO Women’s World 11 celebrates the world’s best players in all positions, as voted on by 7,000 footballers from around the world. Congratulations!
