President Donald Trump Appointees President Trump has appointed Julia Nesheiwat, Florida’s chief resilience officer, as his new homeland security adviser. Nesheiwat spent four years as the U.S. presidential deputy envoy for hostage affairs, later becoming acting envoy. Trump also appointed former State Representative Carlos Trujillo to be an assistant secretary of State dealing with Western Hemisphere affairs.
Republican Party of Florida Peter O’Rouke resigned as the party executive director on March 10th.
Walt Disney World Bob Chapek was named Disney’s new CEO, replacing longtime leader Bob Iger. Chapek, who previously ran Disney’s theme parks and products division, is the seventh chief in Disney’s nearly 100-year history. Chapek previously worked at H.J. Heinz Company and J. Walter Thompson. He has been with Disney since 1993.
