Governor Rick Scott Appointments:

Broward College Board of Trustees Reappointed was Gloria Fernandez, Dania Beach, chief operating officer of HB Capital.

Florida Atlantic University Board of Trustees Reappointed was Mary Beth McDonald, Vero Beach, former Mayor of the City of Vero Beach. Appointed was Brad Levine, Deerfield Beach, chief executive officer of Tellus, LLC.

Florida A & M University Board of Trustees Reappointed were Kelvin Lawson, Jacksonville, vice president at Acosta Sales and Marketing. Lawson previously served as the director of national accounts for Johnson and Johnson; and Dr. Matthew Carter, Tallahassee, an attorney and business consultant with Carter and Associates. Carter is a United States Army veteran and previously served as a member of the Board of Governors of the State University System.

Florida Gulf Coast University Board of Trustees Reappointed was Blake Gable, Naples, chief executive officer at Barron Collier Companies. He has served as a board member of the Immokalee Foundation and as a trustee of the Greater Naples YMCA. Appointed was of Stephen Smith, Naples, a former partner and board member of Accenture.

Florida Gateway College District Board of Trustees Reappointed were Dr. Athena Randolph, co-owner of Randolph Medical Practices; and Kathryn McInnis, Old Town, a retired occupational specialist for the Dixie County School Board. Appointed was David Crawford, Macclenny, director of auxiliary services and former principal for the Baker County Public School District.

Florida Keys Community College District Board of Trustees Reappointed was Kevin Madok, Big Pine Key, clerk of courts for Monroe County.

Florida School for the Deaf and Blind Board of Trustees Appointed was Owen McCaul, Tallahassee, an assistant state attorney for the 2nd Judicial Circuit Court and general counsel for state attorney Jack Campbell.

Florida State College at Jacksonville Reappointed was Tom Majdanics, Jacksonville, founder of KIPP Jacksonville Schools. Appointed was O. Wayne Young, Jacksonville, director of response and environmental programs at JEA.

Florida State University Board of Trustees Reappointed was Kathryn Ballard, Tallahassee, previously a board member of the Board of the Florida Center for Performing Arts and the Florida State University College of Human Sciences. Appointed was Jorge Gonzalez, Miramar Beach, president and chief executive officer of the St. Joe Company. He also serves as a member of the FSU Panama City Campus Development Board, and the Bay County Economic Development Alliance.
