Movers and Shakers

Appointments by Governor DeSantis:  

Alexis A. Lambert Appointed Secretary of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection was Alexis Lambert. She previously served as chief of staff of the State Board of Administration’s Division of Bond Insurance. She replaced Secretary Shawn Hamilton who resigned on November 7th.  

Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University Board of Trustees Appointed was Belvin Perry Jr., a retired attorney for Morgan & Morgan and the former chief judge on the Ninth Judicial Circuit.  

Hernando County Tax Collector Appointed was Amy Blackburn, Hernando County Tax Collector-Elect and previous chief deputy of finance administration for the Hernando County Tax Collector.  

Jefferson County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller Appointed was Cecil “Trey” Hightower, Jefferson County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller-Elect.  

Okaloosa County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller Appointed was Brad Embry, Okaloosa County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller-Elect.  

Santa Rosa County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller Appointed was Jason English, Santa Rosa County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller-Elect.  

School Board of Baker County Appointed was Emil “Clayton” Lyons, Macclenny, an accountant and auditor for Lyons and Lyons, CPA.  

School Board of Flagler County Appointed was Derek Barrs, associate vice president for HNTB Corporation.
 
School Board of Nassau County Appointed was Joseph Zimmerman, owner of The Zimmerman Group, LLC.
