Senate President Kathleen Passidomo sent a letter to senators on August 16th outlining her reasons to not call a special session on condominium safety and affordability. Since the Champlain Towers collapse in Surfside in June 2021, the Legislature passed bills in 2022, 2023 and 2024 to address condo safety deficiencies and improve transparency. Her memo suggests that further issues could be addressed during the 2025 legislative session.
