DEATH PENALTY The ink has barely dried on the Governor’s signature on the new law governing the application of the death penalty and a Broward County judge has already ruled that the law applies to crimes committed prior to its enactment.
DEATH WARRANT In what would be Florida’s fourth execution in less than four months, the Governor signed a death warrant for a man convicted of committing two murders in Palm Beach County nearly four decades ago. The execution, scheduled for June 15th, was put on temporary hold May 24th by the Governor who ordered a psychiatric evaluation.
