HEALTH CARE FOR THE HOMELESS A self-contained medical pod will allow the homeless population in Tampa access to health care. The ‘Clinic in a Box’ offers telehealth appointments and can monitor vital signs. The OnMed CareStation is located at Tampa Hope, a homeless shelter. The stations have previously been in community centers, universities and prisons.
UTILITY RATES The Public Service Commission approved plans allowing Tampa Electric Company (TECO) and Duke Energy Florida to collect more than $1.55 billion from customers to cover hurricane-related expenses and replenish storm reserves. Two consumer groups have filed notice that they will ask the Florida Supreme Court to review the approval of the TECO rate plan.
