2020 has been a year that most of us would like to forget. But even during the most stressful of times, there comes stories which remind us that we are all capable of selfless acts of kindness and good will towards our fellow people.
In Brainerd, Minnesota the manager of a Dairy Queen was minding the take-out window when a male customer pulled forward to pay for his order. This anonymous man wanted to pay the tab for the people in the car behind him, in addition to his own. When the second car arrived, the driver was given the heart-warming news and immediately said they would do the same. The third car pulled forward to the check-out window and was asked by the manager if they wanted to do the same. They did.
Over the course of the next day and a half, 900 vehicles passed through the drive through and each paid for the order behind them. Together, the orders totaled over $10,000.
During this time of giving, perhaps each of us could emulate that original man whose thoughtful act of paying for the person behind him created over 900 happy faces.
