The Legislature has sent Governor Rick Scott all 264 bills that passed during the 2014 Session. He has signed all into law except one (SB 392), which would have allowed the Florida Department of Transportation to raise speed limits to 75 mph on highways, up to 70 mph on rural divided highways, and up to 65 mph on other roads in certain circumstances.
The new fiscal year started on Tuesday, July 1st. One hundred fifty-seven bills passed during the session and approved by the Governor took effect on that date. In the coming weeks and months, other bills will take effect. Please let us know if you would like details on specific bills.
