The Florida Legislature officially adjourned its sixty day session at 10:39p.m. on Friday, May 2nd.
This session, legislators filed 1,812 general bills and passed 264, or a little over 14% of the total. To date, Governor Rick Scott has signed 65 bills and vetoed none. By Florida law, the Governor has fifteen days to act on bills once they are received. The presiding officers will develop a schedule to send bills to the Governor. Expect to see a flurry of activity over the next few weeks.
